B&Q
Concept idea is to create a space for novice plumbers, who with the right help in the store will be able to replace or install any plumbing product at their homes, knowing its purpose. The space is taking to account customer needs and it is created to increase the awareness and convenience of the buyer.
The space will let people feel more comfortable and not overwhelmed by the large amount of products visible simultaneously, what can make customer feel less important.
The thoughtful design will smoothly guide people through 3 main areas giving the opportunity to go through different experiences in the innovative spaces, containing varied future technologies.
Customer journey starts at the advice stand where customer will receive any information and help that they need. People do not have to search for a member of staff, wasting their valuable time and they also do not have to search for a certain department as autonomous robot will guide them into second part of the experience. In the main space, in this case plumbing alley, customers will find products behind sliding doors. These doors are to cover the products and let customer see only the product they are interested in. After getting the product customers have the opportunity to loan HoloLens - mixed reality glasses and by using them, they can contact plumbing expert and get a help at home. The expert seeing the view that customer sees can draw guidelines on the tablet and HoloLens will let the customer see them in front of them.
